The MacBook stopped having the illuminated apple many years ago, but Apple might consider using it again.
One of the design elements that stood out the most in the MacBook was the apple apple lit, an apple that lit up when the device’s screen turned on. A very recognizable symbol of the MacBook that disappeared a few years ago when Apple released its new design line. However, the illuminated apple might return according to the latest rumors.
It was found that the last May, Apple patented a system that would return the illuminated apple to MacBook. The patent was published last week in the US Patent and Trademark Office and is titled “Electronic Devices with Backlit Partial Mirror Structures.”
An electronic device, such as a laptop or other device, may have a case. Components such as a screen and a keyboard can be mounted on the case. The back of the case may have a logo. The logo or other device structures may be provided with a partially reflective backlit mirror. The mirror can give the logo or other structures a shiny appearance while blocking the view of interior components. At the same time, the partial transparency of the mirror allows backlight illumination from inside the device to pass through the mirror.
The illuminated apple appealed to everyone
The The first portable Mac with the illuminated Apple logo was the third-generation PowerBook G3. released in 1999, and it was something we saw for the next 16 years. The only change during this time was that the logo was rotated so it’s not upside down when you open the lid of the MacBook.
Anyway, in 2015 Apple released the ultra-thin 12-inch MacBook, which instead of having an illuminated apple, there was a brushed metal logo, like those who had the iPad. The following year, the new generation of MacBook Pro continued the same trend, and since then Apple has not released a MacBook with a shiny apple.
Apple now seems I want to recover this symbolAt least that’s what this patent says. Also, the patent does not indicate that the apple could light up in different colors, depending on the color of the Mac, and also that this could be something that would be applied in other devices of the company.
One or more thin film layers can be configured to provide the partially reflective mirror with a desired visible light reflection spectrum, a desired visible light transmission spectrum, and a desired visible light absorption spectrum. The reflectivity of the mirror can be adjusted so that the mirror serves as a one-way mirror for the logo or other structure. The mirror can be a neutral color like light gray or a non-neutral color like gold.
Apple seems to be go back and return to origins, the latest generation of MacBook Pro indicates it. We brought back various ports as well as the MagSafe connector, which disappeared, like the illuminated apple, with the 2016 MacBook Pro. Hopefully this will be something we see in the next generation of Macs.
