Samsung recently revealed that some of its phones will stop receiving monthly security updates. More precisely, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 families, which arrived on the market four years ago. But the Korean company seems to have changed its mind: several of these smartphones will receive monthly updates.
The company has modified the official security updates website, again including some of the mobile phones that just hours before had been removed from the monthly update cycle. If you have a Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy S20 FE, you will continue to receive security patches every month, at least for a while.
All Galaxy Note 20s, but not all Galaxy S20s
In addition to operating system updates, Samsung, like other manufacturers, usually updates its phones and devices from time to time with security patches that protect them from the latest threats and address possible vulnerabilities.
