Customization has been one of Android’s strong points as an operating system since the beginning. But In its early days, the system developed by Google did not yet offer as many options as it does today.and the ROM scene was very widespread, both in Europe and in other markets.
This has changed little by little. and the evolution of Android itself and the layers created by major manufacturers have made changing ROMs to fully customize a device something very niche. Even Apple has jumped on the customization bandwagon in recent years.
But one of the companies that has been most concerned about it is undoubtedly Samsung. The Korean company made the big leap to One UI a few years ago and is refining this interface with many improvements, many of which are related to customization. In this case we will focus on the lock screen, which is often used a lot to view notifications without having to unlock the phone. This screen can be customized in five ways.
The first concerns the widgets that appear at the top. It is possible to put up to three different ones, of different sizes, with the time, the temperature or the battery of the mobile phone or some compatible devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The second form of customization is that of the. applications. In the lower corners there are two shortcuts that allow you to open certain applications without having to search for them on your mobile. By default there is the camera application and the phone application, but it is possible to add those that are installed.
The third way is to put a contact detailsor important. It will appear as text at the bottom and can be useful if we lose our phone but someone finds it and kindly returns it. The fourth is the best known, the wallpapers. The icon to change it is at the top left. Finally, it is possible to customize the clock, both in style and in the information it displays: calendar, weather…
All this customization is done from the same section of the settings. We have to grab them and look for the section Lock Screen and AOD. In this one, at the end, the option appears Change Lock Screen. When you enter, you can click on each box to edit the items independently. Finally, you just need to click on the upper right corner to save the changes.
