Google Photos is one of the best solutions available in Europe to make a backup copy of our videos and photos. Memories in photos
The Memories section of Google Photos is located in the app’s navigation bar at the bottom. By accessing it we will find a sort of timeline in which the mosaics bringing together different photographs taken on the same dates. Likewise, some user-created albums that have recently received new photographs may appear as memories.
In addition to the images, you can see their title and the time interval in which the photographs were taken, since it is possible that several long periods, such as holidays or festivities, are collected. Additionally, there is a button to share and another to edit. By clicking on the latter you can access the options to change the size of the mosaic, since it can be large or small, with two slightly different patterns.
In case the application has not selected all the images and videos belonging to this memory, this can be corrected by adding or removing them from said memory. In the same way, you can modify the title so that it is as descriptive as possible and you can easily identify which memories it refers to. Although only four or five images are seen in the preview, by clicking on each of the memories you will go directly to an album in which all the images and videos that may belong to th at moment are grouped.
Logically, the application does not group together all the photographs that we have in the gallery, but rather keeps those that it considers the most important. This is why, at certain moments of chronology asks the user if they want to add more memories, providing the ability to create them with a single tap adding the elements it shows. In these cases, they are not created automatically because there are generally few photographs.
Smart features
The memories that appear in this section range from the current moment to the oldest image in the Google account. This means that at a glance by scrolling to the end of this section you can create a review of all the months or years you use Google Photos for backup. The more images there are, the more memories will be created and the more items can be seen in this section.
All images and videos are automatically selected by the platform, showing items that the app can consider as memories we cherish, although some can also be added and removed manually. Among the intelligent functions that the application has, such as its photo editor, It is possible that Google groups images based on the people who appear in them.
With this you can have this section more organized, but you will have to manually review the app’s suggestions to give each of them a name. the people you identify in your photographs on a recurring basis. If this is done, the folders containing the photos in which each appears will also be accessible from the application library.
