In the photographic section, at least in recent years, the iPhone has managed to defend itself among the best. And despite the fact that the rankings tend to resist positioning the iPhone as the industry leader, content creators tend to be pretty clear about it and bet on the phone with the bitten apple.
In this direction, The Honor Magic 5 Pro is the first phone to break the 150 point barrier on DXOMARK and sets the bar high for the iPhone 15 Pro. Little is still known about the camera of the next flagship of the Cupertino company, but in the meantime we must point to the sector benchmark that comes from the Chinese market.
Honor, the Asian firm that was until recently a subsidiary of Huawei, took first place with 152 rating points on its camera and 151 rating points on its display, which is not only the first mobile device to exceed 150 points in DXOMARK, but to do so at the same time in two different sections.
To give a benchmark, the rival to beat was the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, with which they share the circular design of the rear camera module. The latter had 149 points in terms of camera, while the rival to beat in terms of screen was still the iPhone 14 Pro in its two variants, also with 149 points.
At the moment, the iPhone 14 Pro Max drops to fifth position, behind the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate launched a year ago.
Given the camera difference of the iPhone 15 Pro, its size and functionality will increase, everything indicates that it could eventually equal or improve the data obtained by the Honor Magic 5 Pro, with one caveat, they will be almost a year apart… Will the new iPhone break the established record?
