With the second Prime Day event of the year on the horizon, the M2 chip-powered Apple iPad Air just got its biggest discount yet. You can get the iPad Air M2 for $549 at Amazon, which is $50 off its MSRP.
In our iPad Air review, we gave the tablet a 4-star rating and noted how great the processor upgrade is, while also appreciating that the tablet now comes with storage capacity minimum of 128 GB. Another feature we like about the iPad Air is the screen, although it hasn’t really changed compared to the previous model with the M1 chip. The Liquid Retina display has a solid 500 nits of brightness, which means you’ll have a great experience even when using it indoors or outdoors in bright sunlight.
“The lower entry-level price, increased base memory capacity of 128 GB and long-edge front camera are all nice improvements for this generation of Air. The fact that the iPad also received the next chip, the M2, is also welcome,” our review notes.
We know that a $50 discount isn’t necessarily fantastic for most tech, but Apple is pretty stingy with deals on its new devices, so it’s a nice surprise to see another price drop, especially since it has only been available for a few months. It’s also very likely that this will be the best price we’ll see this year, with no additional price drops, even for Black Friday. So go ahead and get the 11-inch iPad Air M2 for $549 on Amazon before the price goes up again.
