Japanese Apple blog Macotakara has shared new mockup images of what the iPhone SE 4 would be that They display a design very similar to that of the iPhone 14just like the rumor. The blog also highlights compatibility with existing iPhone 14 cases and a supposedly larger option, a Plus modelwhich would make little sense for him to see the light of day by understanding the current iPhone catalog and its evolution.
Macotakara regularly shares mockups of upcoming iPhone model releases and often They give a pretty good idea of what we can expect from future iPhones.. This year is no different and the mockups basically match all previous rumors.
The models have single rear camera (something that makes more sense in the iPhone SE than the rumored Air, except “Air” is the SE), a mute switch instead of an action button, and a notch with Face ID up.
The dimensions of the leak would be 146.7mm x 71.5mm x 7.8mm, identical to those of the current iPhone 14. According to the blog, the soft TPU cases for the iPhone 14 fit perfectly, although the camera cutout is excessive since the iPhone 14 had a dual camera setup, compared to the single camera of the upcoming iPhone SE 4.
They also note that the mute switch is apparently slightly smaller than the one on the iPhone 14, although the volume buttons and side button are virtually the same.
The Plus model of the iPhone SE
According to the Japanese blog leak, There would also be a “Plus” model of the iPhone SE which would be the same as the iPhone 14 Plus but with a single camera module.
This model doesn’t make much sense given the current catalog of iPhone models and the prices they would have. The Plus model of the SE was probably pretty close to the iPhone 16 in terms of price and was rumored to launch next spring with a 6.1-inch OLED screen, A18 chip which supports Apple Intelligence and a single camera with 48 Mpx sensor of the iPhone 15 next to the Apple’s first 5G modem.
Too pretty to be an SE. Personally, I think that Neither the chip will support Apple Intelligence nor the iPhone 15 camera. It would further equip the 13/14 components, including the OLED screen.
At any rate, There are (presumably) fewer left until Apple introduces the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4, one that hasn’t been updated for a long time and is part of our rumors. A phone that Apple has now abandoned to its fate, sold at an exorbitant price with very old hardware and an (almost) skeumorphist design.
