Apple Pay order tracking is only available with select “participating merchants”
The Wallet application is one of the great wonders of the Apple ecosystem. Through this application, iOS users have the possibility to include digital versions of your train tickets, cinema tickets and boarding passes for your plane flights. The possibilities are endless.
Indeed, in countries like the United States, some regions allow you to add your national ID to your Wallet. But did you know that the application also offers the possibility of track your orders?
That's right, Wallet can track your purchase orders since iOS 16. However, the problem is that This is a very difficult feature to see.. So you will never be able to use it. Here's everything you need to know about tracking Apple Pay orders in Wallet.
Portfolio Order Tracking
Apple has done a good job digitizing many airline, train, movie and banking services into its Wallet app. Replacing the physical version of a wallet has great advantages. But adapting to your technology isn't always easy.
To track the order of a purchase made via Apple Pay participation or association of a company is required. But at first glance, finding a participating merchant is very difficult.
You may have never noticed it, but in the upper right corner of the Wallet app there is a small box-shaped button which leads to a section specially designed for order tracking and which allows you to benefit from these advantages:
- Order status, estimated arrival date or in case of problems.
- Order number, purchase total and payment status.
- You can also contact the merchant directly from the Wallet app.
Can you imagine how useful this iPhone feature would be with stores like Amazon, AliExpress or the Apple Store itself? Even with stores like Carrefour, Mercadona, Consum… Making a purchase online and tracking your order would be very useful with Cartera.
The problem is that Apple does not offer a list of participating retailers. And it's so rare to come across one that it's entirely possible that many iPhone users haven't had a chance to use this feature in many years.
Regardless, many online business services currently offer your own order tracking systems like Amazon or even applications like Glovo, which allow you to follow the journey of the delivery people's motorcycle or bicycle in real time.
How to track your purchases with Apple Pay in Wallet
To track any of your orders with a participating merchant, the website or app will offer you a black button with the text “Continue to Wallet App.” Once tracking starts, follow these steps:
- Open the app Briefcase.
- Press it commands icon.
- Click on a completed purchase.
- Click on Manage order to visit the participating merchant's website.
Perhaps in the future, Apple will shed some light on which participating companies are compatible with this service and include more services. But the truth is that it's a shame not to be able to take advantage of the full potential of Wallet on iPhone.
