A little over a month ago, Apple showed off iOS 17 at WWDC in June. It is an operating system that, although it does not bring as many visual novelties as in other years, It is very surprising for its stability and optimization already in the first beta versions. However, this does not mean that there are no changes regarding the functionality. Yes there is.
We have new apps like Journal, but not yet available, custom caller profiles, and more. That’s what we were talking about during WWDC, but there are many new features that have not been commented on due to lack of timeand now we are beginning to find out.
New features with each beta
In the latest iOS 17 developer beta, as well as the recently released public beta, there are two new additions to the already extensive catalog of improvements. The first concerns screenshots. On iPhone, when you make one in Safari, the system offers to capture what is currently displayed or the whole web page. In this second case, previously it could only be saved as a document in the Files app, and now there is the option to save it directly to the gallery as one more photo.
On the other hand, this beta also has added improvements for those of us who use dual SIM. Specifically, we can now filter the messages we receive based on the number to which they were sent. Likewise, it will also be possible to configure different ringtones for each SIM. Finally, when forwarding a call to an unknown number, you can directly choose which SIM to do it with.
Everything indicates that iOS 17 will add new features throughout the launch of the betas which surely were not mentioned during the June event for lack of time.
