The legends come to Mac thanks to the Croatian Catalyst

Catalyst, Croatian, Legends, Mac

To encourage iOS developers to bring their creations to macOS, Apple made Pro Catalyst available to them. Known internally as the Marzipan project and officially announced at WWDC 2019, it is intended make the process of installing iPad apps on Mac much easier and that doesn't involve much work.

One of the companies that says it will use it is Gameloft. This studio holds other titles such as Modern Combat, Gangstar New Orleans or Asphalt. Asphalt is one of the most played sagas game on iOS, and its latest installment, Legends, has been available for a while on iPhone and iPad. Now, it's also available for macOS.

Asphalt 9: Myths were delayed more than expected

Gameloft announced in the WWDC in 2019 that Asphalt 9: Legends will come to Mac thanks to Project Catalyst, but in October of last year it was removed from Apple's website as one of the next titles to come in macOS, leaving its future in the air. However, as a 9to5Mac comment, Gamoftoft said plans to get rid of Asphalt 9: Legends continue to do so, and will be available before the end of 2019.

It finally took longer than expected, but the game is now available for download on the Mac App Store with similar features available on the iOS version. The company is constantly updating it to resolve existing bugs and make the gaming experience even better. It's free, with the in-app purchase option.
