You may not know it, but it’s very likely that your phone has wireless charging and you’re not taking advantage of it. Even though batteries are getting bigger and wired charging is getting faster, wireless charging has advantages that other methods don’t.
The main advantage is of course that we have nothing to connect. By simply leaving the phone on the charging surface, the internal battery will automatically start charging. The disadvantage is usually the charging speed, which is lower than that of the traditional cable.
Another common problem is that we may have multiple devices with wireless charging, but we only have one wireless charger; in this case, we will have no choice but to charge one first and then the other, which is frustrating with the low charging speeds.
The solution is a dual charger like the one Lidl offers for 9.99 dollars. This is a 16% discount on its usual price of 11.99 dollars, and is available directly on the chain’s website. It comes in two versions, in white or black.
The Lidl dual charger is based on Qi technology, so it is compatible with the vast majority of devices with wireless charging. Qi has been the industry standard for years and is used by major brands; even Apple iPhones are compatible with this charger.
The difference between this charger and the others, of course, is that it has two wireless charging areas. This means that we can charge two devices at the same time; two LED lights are responsible for informing us which area is being used; They also light up to signal errors or charging failures, for example if we have not placed the mobile phone correctly on the area.
The charger has a maximum output power of 20W, divided into two zones; Therefore, we can charge our devices at 10W at most. The manufacturer Tronic claims that this charger is able to charge our mobile phone even if we have a thin case.
An important detail of this charger is that the only accessory supplied is a one-meter USB cable; it therefore does not come with the power adapter, necessary to connect the charger to a socket. If we already have a charger of about 30W (for example, the one for our mobile), it is not a problem because we can use it with this charging base; but if we do not have a power adapter, it may be more advisable to opt for the more advanced version of Lidl’s Qi charger, which comes with a 30W adapter.
