Meta WhatsApp recently updated, and this time we are not talking about any beta version. The new version, 24.2.75, brings improvements in stability and security as well as two interesting new features in addition to those already announced for the coming weeks.
The main novelty concerns stickers, which are increasingly popular in the service and among the rest of the competitors in the instant messaging market. From now on we can have much more freedom when creating and sending these stickers with iOS 17.
Goodbye to depend on third-party applications to create our WhatsApp stickers
We’ve already seen how to create custom WhatsApp stickers by dragging and dropping our images from Photos (and thanks to the magic of iOS 17 AI). But now WhatsApp will make it even easier for us, since In the same section to add stickers, an option will appear to create them directly.
It’s possible that the new feature won’t appear even after the update, but WABetaInfo already has screenshots that show the interface for creating this sticker:
In addition to this new creator of stickers We also have new options for sending formatted text. From now on we can send bulleted lists or texts, quotes or even code snippets. They are added with the Markdown style, in the same way that you can already add bold text surrounding it with asterisks.
Both new features require you to update your WhatsApp to the latest available version, although it may take several days to reach your iPhone. As always, Meta takes time to release its new features to all users around the world.
More WhatsApp news we’re still waiting for in 2024
We always appreciate WhatsApp news, of course, although it must be said that We’re still waiting for features that have been in the works for a long time.
And of course, we’re still waiting for WhatsApp for iPad. The beta version has been testing it since September 2023, so it shouldn’t take long for it to finally arrive on all our iPads. We continue to trust, even though it is something that has already been in development for many years.
