The My DGT application will allow you to pay fines from your mobile

application, DGT, fines, mobile, Pay

At the beginning of last year, the Spanish administration presented the My DGT application, an application that allowed us to integrate the documentation and data present in our driving license into our mobile.

After a few months of testing, the app was opened to everyone and soon after it even started to be used as a login, replacing the physical card.

New features for My DGT

Today, officials of the General Directorate of Traffic announced plans for this application throughout the year.

The most relevant thing is that we can receive the sanction notice directly in the app, when we receive a fine, for example. Also, although the methods are not yet confirmed, we will also be able to pay it directly from the application, without having to go to a bank or to the DGT headquarters.

If our car was involved in a sanction but we were not the driver, we can also proceed to the driver identification or for annotation of a regular pilot.

Finally, an improvement in usability should simplify the use and access to the application.

All of this should happen in the next few weeks.

2021 does not end there

But in the year we will have even more functions. We can view the notes of a car-related exam, make temporary vehicle cancellations or request duplicates of physical documentation, among other things.

If you still do not have the application on your mobile, we invite you to download it. You must be registered in the key system of the Spanish administration.
