Ming-Chi Kuo doesn’t want to say goodbye to 2022 without one of his leaks. And the one he launched today in one of his Twitter Feeds concerns the iPad mini, which the rumor seems to have forgotten. Apple already has plans for its smallest tablet.
However, we must not think of things that are too “revolutionary”, since Kuo precisely wants to deny the predictions of several analysts who thought that the next iPad mini was going to be a foldable device. Kuo pretends it won’t
It will be mini, but it will not be foldable
For Kuo, an iPad mini is “unlikely” because it would be too expensive for the device’s target audience. Yes, we have seen an increase in the price of the terminal, but a folding panel could even double that price.
A new generation of iPad mini would be updated like the last time: it would keep the same design (or at least a very similar design) and incorporate a better chip. Apple is trying to be able to arrive in time for it to be sold by Christmas 2023, although well, maybe we should talk about 2024
Let’s also keep in mind that it is still early for this agenda to be final: Apple can always modify the plans and adapt them according to the needs of the company or the appearance of new products. Time and finances will allow us to see it better.
