If this is the case and your TV is also from Samsung, from 2023 or 2024, you're in luck. In case you don't know yet, the latest Tizen update transforms the operating system into One UI, with quite a few changes.
One user interface, also on your TV
As we predicted a few months ago, Samsung has decided that the operating system of its televisions will also be One UI. This will not be a version of the mobile system intended for the large home screen, but an evolution of Tizenwhich will bring what we see on our mobile screens closer to televisions. Meanwhile, the operating system for mobile phones and tablets would continue to use Android as a base, while wearable devices would retain Wear OS.
A few weeks ago, This new version of One UI has started to be launched in several countries around the world and just a little later he started his deployment throughout Europe, including our country. It is in fact already available for many models this year, although the brand has already announced that deployment in 2023 models would arrive, but a little later.
So if you have a Samsung Smart TV 2024, you may already be able to move to One UI. Here we tell you everything you need to know about the “new” operating system and how to install it on your TV.
How to install One UI on your Samsung Smart TV?
Upgrading to One UI for Smart TVs is a very simple process. To move from Tizen to One UI, the first thing to do is check if the update is available for your TV. As is said, the 2024 models will receive the update first, then the 2023 models will receive it.
To find out, simply open the settings of your Smart TV, go to All setupand there, go to Assistancewhere you will find the option Software updatelike on your Samsung Galaxy. If we already have it available, we will only have to download it. Please note that these steps may vary slightly depending on the model we have.
When we have downloaded the update, the One UI screen will appear, in which we will have several buttons. To move on to the next step, we will only have to decide if we want Update now o Power off update.
Once the process is complete (which may take more or less time depending on our model and the speed of your Internet connection), we will have a ready-to-use user interface.
As an alternative method, if we do not have an internet connection available at the time we want to update or it is not stable enough, we can access the Samsung support page. There we can choose the software download corresponding to our model and bring the file on a USB stick or hard drive to our TV. We will only have to follow the instructions once we click on it with our remote control.
What One UI offers for Smart TV

With ONU UI, the most notable function we will receive will be Samsung Daily+a kind of widget screen with information and access to content directly on the screen, even without turning on the TV, since it can be invoked by voice if this option is activated.

- Accessibility– The Accessibility shortcut can rearrange its options based on frequency of use.
- Programming Guide– The design has been updated to improve user comfort and “Samsung TV Plus” has been added as a new category.
- On-screen keyboard– Supported languages have been expanded. Mouse drag and drop functionality has been improved and when a mobile device is connected, the input panel is automatically displayed on the mobile device screen.
- game bar– Game bar interface has been changed to the latest design.
- Multiple view: Enlarge screens on request. When mirroring the screen of a mobile device, you can use keyboard and mouse controls.
- daily board– With Daily Board you can decorate the screen with beautiful wallpapers and useful widgets even when the screen is off.
- Connection time– New features include video calling, messaging and screen sharing for TVs and mobile devices.
- Security updates– Enhanced data protection measures have been implemented (Samsung account login required).
- Q-Symphony– Wi-Fi speaker surround settings have been updated to Q-Symphony, allowing connection to the Music Frame.
