Apple announced the renewal of the series Physical for a second season, a black comedy with Rose Byrne who takes us to the 80s, to videotapes and aerobics. If you’ve grown up around this time, I recommend taking a look if you haven’t already.
Apple made the announcement of the renewal of this series through Michelle Lee, director of programming for Apple TV +, in which she specifies that I look forward to the audience “Discover the next chapter in Sheila’s personal leadership journey. “
We couldn’t be more proud to present Annie Weisman’s unique take on this dark, heart-wrenching and daring story… And then we got to see Rose Byrne inhabit this incredible character on multiple levels, giving us an unforgettable tour de force.
We loved seeing audiences around the world fall in love and feel seen by this show and we can’t wait for everyone to experience the next chapter of Sheila’s journey to personal leadership.
The Physical series shows us the story of Sheila Rubin, played by Rosy Byrne, a mistress of each who after her husband lost his job, build an empire in the fitness industry aided by the popularity of videotapes. The series is set in the 80s in San Diego.
In addition to Rosy Byrne, the series also includes Rory Scovel, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Lou Taylor Pucci, Paul Sparks, Ashley Liao, and Geoffrey Arend. The first full season of this series is now available on Apple TV +, so if you don’t have anything planned to see this weekend, it might be a good time to give it a try and think back to other times.
