Both would depart from the Mac mini, becoming a vitaminized version of this desktop. It would be that “Mac Pro mini” that Mark Gurman has talked about in the past with the 40-core CPU and a 128-core GPU.
This Mac Studio would be an appetizer, a step towards a future Mac Pro with Apple Silicon chip that would come later. So in Cupertino they would have more time to be able to develop it and make it the culmination of the power we all hope to see.
Moreover, he would develop a new professional display called “Apple Studio Display”, with even more resolution than the XDR Pro Display at 7K. That either means more pixel density at 32in or even moving up to a 36in panel. It would be a new high-end display collection that would also include less expensive models.
