My first Android phone was the Samsung Galaxy SCL – the Galaxy S version – very good – the year 2011 and from there I became more interested in the mobile phone and especially the Google operating system.
Although over the years I have (we) seen tremendous technological advances, with the advent of the mobile devices that made history and the progress that has meant before and after, I can say that in 2019 It's been one of the best years I can remember on a mobile phone. And as we will see below, the reasons do not diminish.
Outstanding calls on all budgets
We will still remember those mid-range / low-end Android phones with their laughable storage and low RAM. Other than clearly forgetting its poor performance and of course its lack of updates. If all we wanted was a decent Android phone, we had to empty our wallet. In addition, China's calls were in vain and it was not until Xiaomi officially left its borders when all this changed.
Today we have great choices for all price ranges. You no longer need to spend 1,000 euros to have a high-end smartphone, as OnePlus has shown and the mid-2019 series has nothing to do with these phones that have made you a few months back from making a cupboard.
More, "Made in China" is not shocking. Xiaomi and realme have proven that terminals can be sold at incredible prices and for excellent service. Android and mobile telephony lasts for an age when all users are without their package, they have access to quality phones.
Who wants a camera to have a cellphone?
In addition to making phone calls, using social networks or texting, one of the most commonly used phones today is photography and unlike the camera, we always carry a cell phone. You just have to take it out of your pocket, open the camera app and capture the moment you like.
This would not make sense if the quality of the mobile cameras was very poor, but fortunately not. Google Pixel 3a, Huawei Mate 30 Pro or similar iPhone 11 Pro have shown us this year that Mobile photography is a very important and very important issue.. Will it reach the DSLR standard as Sony promises?
Exciting new technology
While some believe that smartphones have reached the roof, the truth is that they are not. There is still a lot of technology to use and that is 2019 being the year we were able to have our first contact with him a particular technology that truly excites us.
Wrap screens, cameras under the screen, 5G technology … today it is somehow green and other errors, but that will undoubtedly be the standard for years to come.
Safe operating systems
While there is still much to be done, 2019 will be the first year for Apple and especially Google, to be firmly committed to the secrecy of its users. In the case of G major, this year's Google / I / O took a closer look at the issue and big companies – under Facebook – have finally noticed, how important your users are and your privacy.
That said, the situation can still improve but both iOS 13 and Android 10 are still in good shape. Obviously whenever we use digital technology we are open to being able to look at it, but of course not a year ago have we heard the words privacy and security more often than it did in 2019. Let's hope that 2020 progresses the same way.
In short 2019 has been a highlight year for mobile telephony. There is still plenty of room for improvement and evolution, but what we've been able to survive this year will be very hard to forget. 2019 has taught us that smartphones are not just simple phones with a myriad of applications, but cameras, computers and even workstations.
