When Samsung introduced the Galaxy S24 family of mobile phones, one of the most important aspects for the company was to demonstrate the capabilities of its mobile phones in terms of artificial intelligence. Galaxy AI convinced us from the first moment, and this AI has only improved with the recent update to One UI 6.1.1.
This is why it should come as no surprise that South Korean society continues to focus on artificial intelligence as one of the central pillars of your mobile experience. And for that, the new Galaxy S25 Ultra could benefit from a major improvement: more RAM for even better performance.
Galaxy S25 Ultra reportedly has more RAM and better cameras, among other new features
The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will have 16 GB of RAMaccording to information published by Ice Universe (@UniverseIce on X/Twitter), an insatiable source of leaks related to Samsung mobile devices that is consistently correct in its predictions and previews. According to the leaker, the Galaxy S25 Ultra “will definitely have a version with 16 GB of RAM, it’s 100% confirmed.”
This isn’t the first time Samsung has offered an “Ultra” model with 16GB of RAM, as the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S20 Ultra both had a model with this RAM. However, Since the Galaxy S22 Ultra we haven’t seen a version with this much RAM
However, for the Galaxy s25 Ultra, the company may want to expand the RAM for more demanding processes, especially when it comes to on-device artificial intelligence processinglocally.
Last August, Samsung announced the development of new memory chips that will be available in 12 GB and 16 GB versions, which could arguably be a taste of the fact that the next Galaxy S will have this RAM capacity.
As for the rest of the Galaxy S25 Ultra specs, rumors also claim that Samsung could use its new Exynos 2500 processor across the entire Galaxy S25 family, although there is also speculation that the company could use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in the Ultra model.
Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would also have a renewed camera system: the mobile will retain the use of four sensors like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but will replace the 12 MP ultra wide angle sensor with a 50 MP one in the new model, and the 10 MP (3x) telephoto sensor with a 50 PM (3x).
