There is no customization element like wallpaper. It is the simplest thing among all the customization options offered by Android, but at the same time it is a detail capable of give personality to the mobile and give another appearance. Therefore, applications to find wallpaper are becoming more and more popular.
of everything there is, Wally It’s one of the biggest with over 10 million downloads and a score of 4.6 out of 5. Central Wallpapers is another that, despite a lower score of 3.9, has over 50 million downloads. In my case, I have to say that these are two essential apps every time I want to find a new wallpaper for my phone.
Walli, the one who adds the most wallpapers per day
p With Walli, you benefit wide variety of funds that grows every day thanks to the contribution of users around the world. It contains authentic works of art, even if they are in digital format.
As soon as you open the application, you can choose between at least 4 themes that you like to fill in a personalized feed with which to find funds which are to our liking. However, it has other tabs that can be explored in which to find other themes, organized by collections, most recently downloaded and most popular.
Abstracts, natural landscapes, urban skylines, color gradients… In this application there is everything and if you can’t find it, we can search for it manually. And it is that its search engine supports both the keywords with which to find these funds, as well as the search by labels (tags) already created and even by artists.
In fact, it is this search option that I use the most when I want to find funds, for example, from dogs or forests (weaknesses that we have). Now how tips to refine your search, try searching for it in English. If you search for example “dog”, you will find limited options. However, by putting “dog”, many more options appear.
Another rather interesting point of the application is its interface in “TikTok mode”. In other words, by entering one of the suggested backgrounds, you can swipe down and up to see the wallpapers almost full screen until you find one that you want to download and/or save as a favourite.
The paid version isn’t expensive, but if you put up with ads and don’t download a lot of backgrounds on a daily basis, it might be worth sticking with the free option.
Now, Is there something wrong with this app? In its free version yes. And it is that the funds in 4K are limited to the paid version, in addition to having a download limit and containing advertisements. To be able to eliminate these limitations, you must subscribe by $9.99 per year.
Whether it’s worth it or not It’s everyone’s business. If you download a lot of wallpapers every day and/or the ads bother you too much (these are full screen videos), this will probably work for you. From my personal experience, I must say that the free version was enough for me, and although I can’t download backgrounds in 4K, the truth is that in 1080p they still look great.

Central Wallpapers
This is another application that I admit to using the most when using the iPhone. However, it works the same on Android and in fact it has identical backgrounds and I use it as well. However, the fact that it is associated with Apple products comes from the fact that they are among the first to embed official wallpapers iPhone and iOS versions of the day. Obviously, they can be downloaded on Android.
The application itself is very similar to the previous one in terms of your organization by tabs. On the one hand there is the House with the latest funds uploaded to the app, as well as access to wall of the daywhich is a basic recommendation that varies daily.
I don’t particularly move the tab excessively Housebut finally I also navigate in the tab of Feed to see the categories I chose to track when setting up the app. Where I go more frequently is in the section Livein which there is dynamic wallpapers which are very suitable for all screens, although these are paid.
His last tab, before the favoritesIt’s the collections. There are organized the different packs that have been created around a mobile model which, as I told you before, are usually iPhones. In these packages we also find variations of these backgrounds that often end up being even more attractive than the originals.
As app details, highlight what they offer you data of each fund so you can know the number of downloads, if it has any effect, the resolution or the weight. You are even allowed to report it if you detect that it has any quality defect or similar.
In addition to the free version, this application offers cheaper payment options than in the previous one, although for less time.
respect to its free version, let’s say you have advertising. These are videos, usually from apps and games, that appear full screen when a wallpaper is downloaded. However, each time a background is downloaded, an advertisement does not appear, and these advertisements are not always the same, sometimes allowing them to be skipped after 5 seconds and other times having to wait for them. end.
And while it is true that its free version could be more than enough, it offers payment options with which remove ads and access all live backgroundswith these prices:
- BASIC: 4.99 dollars for 3 months
- BETTER: 9.99 dollars for 1 year
- LIFETIME: 20.99 dollars forever
Objectively, the “LIFETIME” option is the most interesting and the most economical in the long term if the application is used a lot. In any case, we insist that it can be enough with the free option and despite the ads. I personally switched to the BASIC rate recently to get dynamic funds, but I probably won’t renew and continue with the free option as it’s more than enough for me.
