Sometimes the default options on Android phones don’t match the user’s preferences. This happens with things as common as notification tones or launcher settings. And the same thing happens with the power of vibrations.
This is a very useful feature of Android phones for notifications, although it is also activated with other elements like keys on the screen or keyboard. And thanks to the operating system options, it is possible to modify their intensity or even turn them off.
Additionally, it can be disabled in specific situations, so the function remains activated only at times that interest the user, such as for alarms or calls. And if your cell phone is in your pocket, it will be easier to notice those important notices.
Change or turn off vibrations
If Android phones have been characterized by something since the creation of the operating system, it is by having lots of customization options and the operation of the operating system, and vibrations are not immune to these possibilities. To do this, you need to open Settings, go to Accessibility then click on Vibration and touch technology.
At the beginning there is a general switch that will allow the vibrating motor to be turned off directly, in case the user does not want it to be activated at any time. However, It is also possible to make this more subtleby choosing the degree of power you want in each situation.
First of all there will be the calls category, in which case it is not recommended to download it in order to be able to obtain information by all possible means. There is an option that first vibrates the mobile and then gradually begins to ring. Beyond that, you will also be able to change the level of this engine in notifications, alarms, multimedia content or touch response. Choosing the minimum level will be equivalent to turning it off. In alarms it can also be convenient to set high power.
There are smartphones in which these levels cannot be changed as precisely or in which you have to choose between activating or deactivating them. In these cases, this option is in another section. Concretely, in Settings, you will have to go to Sound and vibration and once there go down to the bottom of the page. On the one hand, you can disable effects such as phone vibrates when charger is connected, by touching items on the screen or pressing the keyboard. This last option is found in the Haptic Response section — on certain devices — and in this case it will be possible to choose between several intensity levels on certain devices.
In addition, it is also possible to find more vibration options in the Notifications settings, within each application. Here you can choose in which cases you do not want this form of notification to be made. For example, it may be a good idea to disable it in WhatsApp groups where there is a lot of discussion, as it can be annoying.
