One of the most important applications on mobile phones is the web browser. It’s the door to thousands of pages and services and that’s why companies like Apple or Google have developed their own and install them by default on their phones. Chrome was born on the desktop, but it is on the smartphone that it has become almost omnipresent, notably because the success of Android in countries like Europe.

This is why the sharing option is more relevant on mobile devices. Chrome lets you do this, of course, but it has it in a Sett ings submenu that’s not obvious to less tech-savvy users. But this can be easily fixed.

In the Chrome interface there is a little-known option that allows you to create a new button on the taskbar, at the top next to the URL of a web page. This option falls within the framework Setting, which is in the application menu, in the upper right corner.

There you will find a section called Shortcut in the toolbar. If you enter, an interface is displayed that gives you the option to choose which function you want to display in that part of the interface. One of those that appears is Share.

After tapping on it, you just need to choose the app or contact to share the URL with. In addition to this option, you can configure the interface to appear a button that opens a new tab or activates voice search. The last option is to display an icon that changes based on application usage, but will almost always show the option to open a new tab. If we don’t want any button to appear, we can eliminate this space in the same section of Chrome settings. Of course, you can always share the website by selecting the URL and copying the text, then pasting it wherever you want.
