A small gesture of personalization can radically change the organization of Android desktops: this is precisely what “Add apps” to newly created folders. Android does not bring it as standard, but some builder layers. And there are apps that offer it in their settings: Nova Launcher is the best example.
The personalization of an Android is at a very high level, but it is not homogeneous in all devices: Depending on the brand, these will be your customization options.. And there’s a specific option that’s extremely useful when it comes to organizing folders: being able to choose from a list which apps are included inside. It’s one of those tweaks that can make the difference between layers, at least for those used to organizing their desks in detail.
Folders organized in a second
I confess that I am as obsessive as my colleague Iván, I also have all my Android phones with the desktops organized in the same way for years. it’s a task it takes me a long time every time i start a new phone. And since I run several scans a month, customizing the desktop probably takes me an hour a month.
I usually struggle with dragging each app from the drawer to the desktop one by one. Only one, I can’t stand scrolling through desktops to find my apps (this is my least favorite thing about iOS). I take each application that is essential to me one by one, I move it to a folder, the file rebels by deciding to leave the boxI play cat and mouse with it until I finally reach my goal: two main folders, one for games and one for apps.
Dragging app after app onto the desktop is a nuisance for which Google has yet to find a solutionYes, layers like One UI or MIUI: they allow you to incorporate a multitude of applications in a folder at once. And it is precisely this parameter that should be native to Android: the “+” to add applications to folders.
Filling a folder with ten or more apps can take forever, especially when the folder needs to be moved just before you drop the app
When the mobile I’m analyzing comes with this setting as standard, it solves more work for me than it looks. Simply create a folder by dragging one app onto another, click the “+” and choose from the pop-up list all the ones I need. Easy, fast and very complete, of those adjustments for which it is worth choosing a specific brand among all Android manufacturers.
Nova Launcher always to the rescue
That the mobile in question has a layer that does not allow you to add applications to a folder at once? No problem, that’s what Nova Launcher is for, an application that makes personalization on Android a real monument.
Nova Launcher
To use the feature, and as long as Nova Launcher is installed and selected as the default system interface, the following steps must be performed:
- Create a folder by putting two apps together, one above the other.
- Open the newly created folder and click on the bottom three menu points.
- Picking out “add apps“.
- Mark the apps that are essential to you and Nova Launcher will add them to the folder.
