9to5Mac wanted to put an end to the rumors of Ross Young on the 14-inch iPad. The media leaked from its sources iPad 10e specs, which is already circulating internally in the laboratories with the product code J272. Apple’s line of standard tablets have a definite future and will somehow represent the end of an era.
An update for the most popular iPad
The current standard iPad is the 9th generation and it features the A13 chip. The tenth generation would continue to have the A14 chip (present in iPhone 12). It would also have connectivity 5G and would adopt the port USB-C.
It’s unclear what design it will have, although the screen will have the same resolution as the current iPad Air. The source relies on a possible increase in the screen from 10.2 to 10.5 or even 10.9 incheswhich may mean a change in external appearance.
This last gesture would represent the death of the Lightning port on the entire iPad range, something that the European Commission has imposed on all portable devices and which must be a reality no later than 2024 with USB-C as the universal port. Only the iPhone and several of the accessories such as AirPods that still go with Lightning would remain.
At the moment the launch date is still uncertain, although it bets for the fall and in 9to5Mac they point out that the standard iPad they have been launched for two years with the iPhone. It may be a sign to see them in September.
