One of the most interesting and original webcomics available on the net is being serialized by Apple. Cupertino company is working to bring animation production to Apple TV + based on the “Strange Planet” comics, as noted in Deadline. And the result can be as attractive as in its original form.
Nathan Pyle, creator of Strange Planet, will work with Dan Harmon, as well as studio ShadowMachine. Both will donate their talents to bring Strange Planet to the Apple TV + library. To get used to the idea, Harmon is one of the creators of productions like “Rick and Morty” or “Community”. ShadowMachine, meanwhile, is responsible for jobs like “Bojack Horseman”.
With this outfit, it looks like the Strange Planet series aims to be a success. In addition, Apple has also shown a keen eye for this type of projects, with Central Park being its latest project. Overall, and given that the webcomic already has a large fan base on networks like Instagram, this should be a good reason for many to consider accessing Apple TV +.
For those who do not know Strange Planet, this is a series of comics in which some blue aliens experience different everyday situations. Of course, from the perspective of characters who have never had to do with them. And if there’s anything we can get out of webcomic, it’s that it will also help us see life in a completely different way.
Strange Planet, not yet set for release, will join other productions slated for release on Apple TV +. In the coming months, we will find series such as “Ted Lasso”, “See” and “The Morning Show”, to new series like “Foundation” or “Invasion”. Thus, a beautiful programming for the service is offered, which is only growing.
