Google has plenty of options for customizing the Gmail inbox, and two of those options allow you to remove the new Gmail bottom bar.

How to Hide Google’s New Bottom Bar to See More Emails on Screen
Gmail’s new design isn’t a devotional saint for everyone, as it incorporates a new bottom bar for quick access to chats and the Gmail meetings section, a feature that many platform users do not use and which occupy a sometimes undesirable space. To turn it off, just follow these steps:
- Open the Gmail sidebar menu.
- Click on your email address.
- Disable Show Chat and Show Meetings.
With this, all the indicators that so far they were taking up space in this bar and preventing you from enjoying the general view with fewer elements in your way.
It is essential that you deactivate the two options that we have indicated, otherwise you will continue to see this bar at the bottom of the main Gmail screen, because the chats and the meeting tab are two independent sections.
If you want, you can continue to access these items, but you’ll need to do so from the side menu, or turn that bar back on if you want them there.
Personally, this is one of the essential settings I make in Gmail every time I change mobile, since it allows me to return to the classic view of the application and make the most of the screen of the mobile.
