Over a month will be the year when the United States announces that it is banning its companies from doing business with Huawei without government approval. This has been the result of the addition of a Chinese company to a popular American list, a list from which companies appear that, for various reasons, is considered a security risk across the United States.
Since then we have seen how American companies have been asking their government not to block Huawei relations at the same time because they need some time to make a change.
This resulted in the approval of the first 90-day extended extension.
New 45 day extension
The last one given to the Donald Trump administration in November, expired soon. But before the transfer, the government announced that there would be another one, this time in the short term, for companies to finish getting used to the new reality.
The Ministry of Commerce has announced that «US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Department of Commerce. U. add Temporary General License (TGL) for Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. and its non-US affiliates in the Facility list for an additional 45 days. »
Surprisingly, instead of the 90-day extension they decided to bet in half the time. This could mean that the government does not want to offer a new extension within a month and a half.
Trump opened Pandora's box with a veto on Huawei
The Trump administration has removed a veto on Huawei, but this has created many doubts about how we see American companies.
Huawei is no longer able to use Google services
However, this is not a big change for Huawei as long as we take a look at their mobile phones. New devices can no longer be used in traditional Google applications, and sales outside of China continue to suffer.
Huawei founder in US veto: "Ready to survive many attacks"
Huawei's chief executive has attended a global economic summit, in which he has admitted that he believes the United States could attack them more, adding that he will not touch them.
Nevertheless, Huawei executives continue to declare that the decision is damaging to American companies more than Huawei itself.
