One UI 7 will implement Android 15, but it’s behind schedule
Google’s latest operating system update will arrive on around fifty Samsung phones, but It will only be around 2025 that Android 15 will arrivea few long months of waiting which stings given the popularity of the Korean manufacturer, one of the heaviest brands and which sells the most mobile phones in the world.
According to various rumors, the estimated date of the arrival of Android 15 at Samsung would coincide with the renewal of its high-end rangethat is, the new Samsung Galaxy S25 family. To get an idea, the current Samsung Galaxy S24s were presented on January 17, so we can expect this deployment to arrive during the first month of the year.
The explanation for this delay finds its origin in the delay of One UI 7, the layer of the Korean brand to integrate Android 15. Its beta should have been launched in August, but it was postponed and is now expected for the end of 2024. Big things are expected from the next installment of One UI, like lots of artificial intelligence and notable changes in appearance, like the quick settings overhaul. Although the delay of One UI 7 and therefore Android 15 represents a bucket of cold water for its users, it can offset by long update supportoffering up to six years on a base model like the best-selling competitor, the Samsung Galaxy A16.
