Lights, cameras (mostly cameras) and action. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is about to make its official appearance, something we already knew but now takes on official connotations as is confirmed by Xiaomi itself. It will be during a special event that the company will take place globally next week. And the fact that it is global means that, unless there is a capital surprise, it will be a terminal that will also reach Europe.
And although it is not new to see a Xiaomi mobile arriving in Europe, it means bringing back an ‘Ultra’ version after the Xiaomi 12S Ultra did not arrive here. This terminal will likely be the most top of the range of this 2023 for the Chinese brand and which will close the series of the already existing Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
We reserve the date: April 18
neither more nor less than next Tuesday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsula time) it will be when we can follow the special event that Xiaomi has prepared to present this beast. It will be an event that, as always, we will be able to follow in streaming and that we will echo on Xataka Android to tell you all the news of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra at the moment.
Now the only thing we have on the table is an image in which progress is being made the gigantic camera module that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have. In appearance, it appears to be similar to the one we’ve already found in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. We can even read the Leica engraving, which will once again form a tandem with Xiaomi for the photographic part of this device.
The rest, either we imagine it, or we rely on leaks. And a good example of this can be found in the SmartPrix reveal with Steve H. McFly (better known as OnLeaks). In this leak, it was detailed, among other things, that will have Qualcomm’s most powerful chip to date and that they already have the little brothers of this ’13 Ultra’, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It would also come with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
They even revealed their possible dimensions of 163.8 x 74.64 x 9.57 millimeters, highlighting a slight reduction in these compared to the aforementioned Xiaomi 12S Ultra. There is also talk of a lady of the screen made up of a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED panel with 2K resolution. It’s intuitive that it won’t fall short of the refresh rate with 120Hz either.
The leaking of the battery that will be on board is also striking, so 4,900mAh with 90W fast charging wired and that would drop to 50W wireless. Capacities and speeds which, without being the best on the market, would slightly improve what we saw in its predecessor.
Even if the cameras aim to be the absolute stars from this terminal. Also according to the leaks, this points to a 1-inch, 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 main camera that it would not come alone, since three other cameras of identical resolution would also accompany it. For the front, we’re talking about a 32-megapixel lens.
Anyway, there is not much left to dispel doubts and know in detail and officially all the specifications of this Xiaomi 13 Ultra, including its price which is intended to be high. The Xiaomi 13 Pro already starts at 1,399 dollars, so… The countdown has begun.
