Ming-Chi Kuo did not bridge the gap. After giving us clues about the upcoming AirPods Pro 2 and future models of Apple’s augmented reality viewers, more details are arriving on the Apple Watch which we should see presented in late summer 2022. The analyst insists that we will see three models of the watch instead of the usual two.

Kuo doesn’t give more details on each model, but it’s easy to speculate on their specs. An Apple Watch Series 8 could include new design that we thought we would see with the Series 7, as well as new sensors (blood sugar, temperature …). The second generation SE model could keep the traditional design we know, but adding additional advantages over the first SE.
As for the extreme sports model, it may be an 8 Series in a special material much stronger than aluminum or stainless steel. It may be something like a “Series 8 Extreme Edition”, adding all the new features of the Series 8, although there are no rumors to back it up.
The Apple Watch is an accessory that has gradually gained the respect of all users not only to make our lives easier, but also to monitor our health. The competition (Google and Meta) is already working to give the market more battle, but they will have to make an effort to avoid controversy.
