After the presentation of the brand new Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra in Europe, the Chinese company did not sit idle, and in addition to showing what its ideal connected home would look like, the company revealed what the next ones were devices upgrading to HyperOS.
The new operating system that the company will use on many of its devices, and which appears on its mobile phones as a customization layer that runs on top of Android, but retaining all the compatibility of Google’s operating system . Its design and proper functioning are among its main assets.
Now, after some devices have already been updated in Europe, the Chinese company has published a list indicating which mobile phones and tablets will receive its new software in the first half of 2024.
Phones that will be updated to HyperOS
The Chinese company wants to adopt a new roadmap, leaving MIUI behind, but it must be taken into account that not all devices will be updated, but some will remain as is, while others will be able to install HyperOS. In fact, some recent devices from the brand like the POCO X6 Pro already have the layer installed at the factory.
The Chinese company announced on its official X account which devices will be updated to its new layer in the global market. This is their roadmap for the first half of the year, so this update should happen before July arrives. These are the following devices:
- Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Lite.
- Xiaomi 13T, Xiaomi 13T Pro.
- Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 Lite.
- Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 12T Pro.
- Redmi Note 13 4G, Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G.
- Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G.
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- Redmi Pad SE
Fortunately, not only high-end devices are included, but space has also been made for more modest devices such as the Redmi Note or the Redmi Pad SE. As you can see, the list only includes mobile phones belonging to the Xiaomi or Redmi brands, since POCO, although it also uses this software, is the one that announces its own update policy.
It must be said that the fact that these devices are included in this list does not mean that their Android version will be updated, they can upgrade to HyperOS without having to update their Android version.
