Android Auto is Google's solution be able to continue using the phone while driving without risking us. So, there are a series of applications designed for this tool, easily accessible from Android Auto, whether we use it on the car screen or with a mobile phone and support.
Although there are not too many alternatives to installing apps, you can use two queen systems in this section. Let us tell you they are not and how to use them in Android Auto.
Maps apps for Android Auto
Android Auto only supports two map and navigation apps: Google Maps and Waze. However, it is reasonable to explain what's the point in Android Auto and how to choose between one or the other.
When we open the Android Auto app and click on any addresses you have already registered, Google Maps will automatically open. However, we can choose between Waze or Maps. To do this we have to go to the bottom bar and click the submit button, the second one starts from the left.
Having Maps and Waze integrated into Android Auto allows us to unlock them within their use, which means they automatically open in driver mode and become part of the Auto connection
What happens when we click one of these two options? What both open directly in transmission mode. In the case of Waze we have to manually create the type of car we have, while on Google Maps it is not necessary.
In both cases connection referred to that "normal" application. However, for them to be open in driving mode and for them to be integrated within the Android Auto app itself (faster and easier to dial numbers, switch apps and others) is an advantage.
When we connect our phone and car with Android Auto, it reminds you that the similarities are exactly the same as those on the phone, so we should just follow similar steps to choose between one application or another. Once we open Waze or Google Maps we can use it on Android Auto.
