Although we have new round versions of Android Auto every month, this does not imply that the changes introduced there are visible. The same is happening with the 8.4 beta release: we checked the app’s coverage, as well as some of its code, without noticing any variations. Yes, there are subtle improvements in Coolwalk– The media widget receives some customization tweaks, the playback screen is slightly slimmed down in its gradient, and portrait mode gains some presence in the settings.
Beyond the changes introduced in an interface that is still not usable for the majority, Android Auto 8.4 in beta brings the already usual bug fixes, stability improvements, mobile and vehicle compatibility improvements
