Valid ID for businesses

As Apple previously announced, iPhone users will be able to present a driver’s license or ID stored in the Wallet app at participating businesses and locations starting later this year. Users will simply hold their ‌iPhone‌ or Apple Watch near the company’s ‌iPhone‌ to verify their age and identity for things like booze, rental cars and more.

One of the most talked about features was the ability to add our ID to Wallet and thus provide an easier, faster and more secure way to share our information.

Through a post on its official website, Apple said that starting this fall, “companies will be able to accept credentials in Apple Wallet, without the need for additional hardware.” So a customer will be able to present their identity using their iPhone and Apple Wallet for liquor purchases, car rentals, and more.

Apple Pay tracking on Apple Maps

‌Apple Pay‌ order tracking gets several enhancements including support for Apple Maps, transaction receipts, ability to add an order to the Wallet app from an email attachment and a new “Track with Apple Wallet” button for apps and websites.

This feature will also benefit merchants, who can now attach a receipt to ‌Apple Pay‌ orders as a PDF or image file, so the customer has a wallet payment history. On the other hand, the customer can tap on the email attachment in the Mail app and add the order to the Wallet app.
