Last week Google released Android 13 Beta 3, which would be the penultimate beta of its next major mobile operating system update, but in just over a week we’ve seen how the company had to release new versions to fix significant bugs.
If Google launched Android 13 Beta 3.1 a few days ago to fix a single error, now we see how it has just been launched Android 13 beta 3.2a new update that brings more bug fixes.
What’s new in Android 13 Beta 3.2
Android 13 beta 3.2 This is a minor update that is coming urgently for fix important bugs which were detected in the first days by Google Pixel mobiles that installed Android 13 Beta. Among its innovations are stability improvements and the following fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the back gesture was not working in some apps.
- Fixed an issue where the “At a Glance” settings page would collapse inconsistently when scrolling.
- Fixed an issue where some apps crashed instantly upon opening.
- Fixed an issue where the microphone would turn on and off unexpectedly when using an unlinked device.
- Fixed an issue where the Google Photos app crashed frequently.
As we can see, these were very important errors that Google could not wait for the next beta to resolve, because Android 13 Beta 3 was not as stable as Google expected and led to many apps not working properly, thus spoiling the user experience.
The update is rolling out starting today from Google Pixel 4s that have signed up for the Android 13 Beta program. To receive the OTA for now you just have to go Settings > System > System update > Check for updates.
It’s not out of the question that Google will release more minor Android 13 Beta 3 updates to fix most of the issues before launching the fourth and final Android 13 beta next July. Android 13 Beta 4 will be the candidate version to be the final version of Android 13which will be released in August.
