2022 will likely be remembered as the year artificial intelligence became available to everyone. A multitude of projects have emerged thanks to the concept of machine learning, such as Lensa, the application that generates personalized avatars from our photos.

Another application that has also conquered social networks is ChatGPT, which allows us to “talk” to an Artificial Intelligence and tell it to write everything that comes to mind; In many cases, the results are indistinguishable from what a human would write, but with the advantage that the subject does not matter: it can talk about programming as well as the latest scientific advances or current affairs .
No more answering emails in Gmail
Developer James Ivings has taken advantage of this potential to create an application that has become extremely popular in a very short time, despite the fact that it is still not finished in theory: an Artificial Intelligence that responds to Gmail emails.
The project is called Ellie and is based on the same ChatGPT technology developed by OpenAI. In fact, all you have to do is Press a button with the style you want to give to the email, and the AI will do the rest, writing a text that you just have to send. We have several styles to choose from, depending on the general message we want to send.
For example, we may ask you to send a respectful message, in which case the AI will make sure to use polite words and expressions; but we can also make them show our anger and our rejection of what they wrote to us. Or maybe we’d rather just have the AI tell them we’re not interested in what they sent us (which might buy us more time, really).
Ellie’s great strength is that, being based on OpenAI, she is able to learn from our writing style and imitate it perfectly, so that no one knows that we are using an automated program. You will also be able to learn data that may be important for the answers, such as possible birthdays or related events.
It’s ready! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

Of course, it’s worth asking if we really want to leave something as important as our personal communications in the hands of an AI; and if we are disrespectful to those who email us using an automated system.
Anyway, for the moment this system is very limited; is only available for direct invitation from its creator via Twitterwhich publishes invite codes every few hours.
