VoIP or data calls are generally used as part of plans with sufficient GB. or when you are simply at home with a WiFi connection. It’s not that everyone uses them, but there are times when they come in handy, like when there is a power outage with the operator.
WhatsApp offers a great experience with its calls which could now be expanded be treated as if it were a normal phenomenon. That is, they appear in the recording of calls received from the phone application, although in this case they were found in the call history of the Google Phone application.
This is how the new WhatsApp works
A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a screenshot where you can see WhatsApp calls appear as they appear on the iPhone. Actually, To differentiate them, the WhatsApp label appears in order to distinguish it from a so-called “normal”.
This user had with the latest beta version of the Google Phone app and on the server side I enabled the function. This novelty could also include the rest of the calls made via VoIP from other applications such as Telegram, Skype or Viber.
