Talking about an app that hasn’t been updated in six years usually doesn’t equate to good. In fact, I usually run away and invite those who intend to download it to do so. However, This app is an exception in every way. It’s called PAPERS.co and it’s what I’ve used for years to find wallpapers.
Changing the iPhone wallpaper every day (or at least very regularly) is one of my little obsessions. And this is the most basic customization option. Well, I’ve been using different apps for years to find good funds, but this is the one I always end up coming back to.
What does it mean that PAPERS.co hasn’t been updated in so long?
March 19, 2018 was a day that passed without pain or glory as no significant events happened in the world. However, it was an important day for this candidacy. Or at least that’s how it happened, since that was the last time he received an update. I was already using it at the time.
The main issues with an app not updating come from privacy and optimization. Regarding the first, this application does not even have the privacy labels introduced by the App Store, since they arrived in 2021. However, It doesn’t collect any data and doesn’t even ask for permission
The other possible drawback, that of optimization, is minor. The application works very well. It does not cling and although depending on the iPhone models, elements like the keyboard are not completely well adapted to the screen, this does not represent a problem in use. In the end it’s a minor aesthetic problem and otherwise it fulfills its mission which is to find many wallpapers for iPhone.
PAPERS.co works perfectly and it can still be used completely free. When downloading from the App Store, no payment is required and there are no subscriptions when using it. They still offer the option to remove ads for a one-time payment of 3.99 dollars, which has never caught my attention personally. There is barely any advertising and the one he has is not at all intrusive.

As in other wallpaper apps, PAPERS.co relies on community contributions. And even if the application is not updated, Users continue to upload new content to this day. Therefore, every day new funds appear.
There is no data on the exact number of images available, but there are hundreds, I would even say thousands. The fact that they continue to be uploaded every day makes the count higher. So there’s one more reason to use it and say it’s alive and well even though we haven’t received an update in six years.
Its organization and search engine are very intuitive.
Ultimately, a wallpaper app is used to find wallpapers. However, it is one of the ones that offers it best in my opinion. Firstly, we find a main tab in which different types of wallpapers alternate based on their scores, if they are recent or if they are downloaded a lot.

This first view isn’t bad, although I don’t like the almost infinite scrolling. The best are theirs different categories of funds, which appear very well organized when displaying the side menu (by pressing the key). In it we find the possibility of searching for new, best and favorites that we have saved, as well as many categories such as nature, cars, mountains and even colors (the latter are ideal for always combining the rear -plan with the iPhone Case, yes, like me, you have this mania).

Although if I’m going to stick to anything, it’s him searcher. In this we can search for what we want and which a priori is not included in any of the other categories. This works great, even if it has to be used in English. In any case, one or two words are enough, so I don’t think there will be any problems even for those who do not master the language of Shakespeare.
On another side, Downloading funds is very fast. It’s as simple as choosing the image and hitting the download button. Unlike other apps, a full-screen ad doesn’t suddenly appear, requiring you to view it to download it.
So, I don’t know how much longer PAPERS.co will be on the App Store. Maybe one day the developer will remove it or Apple will remove it for lack of updates. As long as I last, I will continue there. In addition, having it installed will not matter if you leave the App Store, because it will always remain accessible (unless we restore the iPhone).
