While waiting for the renewal of the smallest of the iPad range, several designers have presented interesting proposals. Most, based on the most pressing rumors about the launch of the ipad mini, should be a real redesign of the device, with thinner bezels and a design inspired by the iPad Pro.
The concept images we share below correspond to concept artist Michael Ma, also known as Apple iDesigner. The proposal imagines an iPad mini that looks like a smaller iPad Air, available in the same five colors and with slightly thicker bezels than the iPad Pro. With flat edges, this iPad mini could accommodate a Apple magnetic pencilAlthough Ma shows it attached to the left side of the iPad instead of the right.
The concepts bet on a magnificent iPad mini
Currently, the iPad mini is only slightly larger than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Ma’s concept dramatically increases the screen and represents what it would look like if they kept a similar footprint to the current mini, but with a screen that covers the entire surface, not just side by side. Like the iPad Air, this iPad mini concept has Touch ID built into the power button instead of Face ID.
Apple iDesigner also rendered the bezels the same way it did when converting the iPad Pro from 9.7 “to 10.5”. That means it would keep the home button for now. More recently, rumors have emerged that Apple is planning a full-screen iPad mini, but the timing is unclear. As for the colors, it offers the same five currently available.
It’s expected that the device is presented during this month of April, although it is not clear, if it will be at an event or through a press release, as well as other expected products with the bitten apple logo.
