We are still at proof of concept of iOS 16. New features and improvements are being tested in the beta. At the moment these are only tests, but it is more than likely that many of them will remain in the final version of the operating system which we hope will be ready in September, with the launch of the ‘iPhone 14. In this concepts and tests that are done, a designer experimented with the idea that you can on the same lock screen, work with the music player and notifications that can reach us from other applications.
When we talk about beta versions, we are talking about tests that are done with new functions that may or may not remain. But there is also Proof of concept, which are those that work in the virtual world but have not yet reached the beta phase. That is to say that we are still in a previous stage, in the design of this one. These ideas are made by Apple itself but there are also users who want to contribute with their creations. That’s what happened with the idea of Hidden Collee.
We already know that with iOS 16 now, the media player on the lock screen is more compact and we can see the album art in full screen as it could be done in iOS 10. From this base, the student thought why not be able to add notifications on the lock screen without interfering with the player.
With that, he made some drawings and thought it might be possible to make sure the notifications don’t overlap the album cover. This way, when receiving notifications or scrolling to notification center with older notifications, the album art is actually minimized in the media player. When you hide these notifications, the album art returns to full screen
It’s a very good idea And maybe if it gets to Apple’s ears, it can implement it and have a new feature in iOS 16.
