If you are already of a certain age and have many memories of the world of Apple around the turn of the century, you will remember the reviews of the circular mouse that came with the original iMac. This led the company to create the Apple Pro Mouse, a longer mouse that solved the ergonomic issues of its predecessor.
More than twenty years later, designer Vincent Lin publishes on Behance a concept that aims to satisfy those who do not like the ergonomics of the Magic Mouse get the name ‘Pro Mouse’. And its details are worth mentioning, because behind them are great ideas.
Ergonomics, additional buttons and front loading
This hypothetical ‘Pro Mouse’, f or example, is able to rotate on a vertical axis to be able to adapt to right-handed or left-handed people
The grip is quite similar to that of a Logitexh MX Master: what Lin has done is elevate the design of the current Magic Mouse a bit and add a new part that gives it more ergonomics and better grip. In addition, on the sides of the handle there is a “touch sidebar”
The concept is so well thought out that we regret that it was just an idea. There were rumors of a redesign of the current magic mice, but their inclusion in the new iMac suddenly silenced them.
