The Rumors about AirTags have been appearing for many months since the small device was leaked in a version of iOS 13. However, Apple, for some reason, has not yet presented them, despite all the leaks ensuring that they are ready to ship.
And that moment could be very near because AirTag compatible accessories have started to leak. Yesterday we were talking about a keychain that appeared on Amazon that can be used to insert the AirTag inside and not lose the keys. Well, we bought it to analyze it.
This is a keychain for AirTag
The keychain is from the Cyrill brand, which is a sub-brand of the famous Spigen. At the top of the packaging we can see a clear reference to the word AirTag
The keychain has a piece of foam inside where the AirTag would be. is small round hole This is where the AirTag is inserted, which is gripped by the ends, exposing the top and bottom of the supposed device.
In the middle of the keychain we have a button that opens so that we can insert or delete the AirTag accessory. The socks in this ring are quite sober, so the AirTags will be quite small and light:
- AirTag space measurements: 33mm diameter circle, only 5mm thick.
The keychain itself is leather construction in the area that “hugs” the AirTag and it has a large metal ring on the top so that we can attach it to a keychain or any item that we don’t want to lose.
If you would like to have a closer look, we leave you a gallery with all the pictures of this keychain for AirTag.
When will AirTags finally arrive?
Apple’s little tracking device should be launched this same 2021, and the arrival of this type of accessory is an indisputable indication that its launch is near.
however, it is something we’ve heard before. We expected it first for the September keynote, then for the October keynote, and then we stopped having hope.
Apple typically doesn’t launch devices in January and February, but in March, surprises are expected. We’ve heard some kindness about the new AirPods and the new iPad Pro, which would launch precisely this March. We’ll see if the AirTags come with them or if Apple continues to hide them.
