Samsung launched the Green Z Flip earlier this year, for the second time mobile wrap. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the Z Flip is intended to be used with vertical content, its panel works just as well as two small panels independent of each other in some cases, such as a camera.
YouTube has opened a ban on content classified in this way, has been updated to allow this separation on the Galaxy Z Flip. The news is not only disingenuous because it is an important update for the dedicated terminal, but because of the open channel to view content in this new format.
Split screen wrap videos for mobile
YouTube, as they tell us about Samsung,
updated with the new & # 39; Flex mode & # 39;. This mode allows you to split the content so you can see it in the top part of the panel, for a table break or any kind of place.
YouTube's & # 39; Flex & # 39; mode allows content to be viewed individually on each panel. The top part shows a well converted video, the bottom half is all content
The main advantage is that the two parts of the panel are "independent". That is, we can move on, stop the video and others by tapping it (in play) and doing other actions such as commenting, liking watching related videos at the bottom of the screen. This is a 50/50 content split to take advantage of the panel format.
YouTube comments that, regarding the video format, those recorded at 16: 9 will be converted to center while the square or vertical videos will take up all the space in this part of the panel. Samsung said this was possible due to the integration of a portion of its Flip code into Android support libraries, something that has allowed YouTube to fine-tune the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Update available from today, is restricted to this model.
Although this review is the result of a partnership between Samsung and Google, the department is open to future collaborations if companies continue to bet in similar ways, establishing a good basis for how mobile content of this format can be viewed.
