We live in an age of information, and logically information is harder than ever because of the large number of fake news (fake news) scattered and shared online.
In recent weeks we have seen new tools developed by technology companies to facilitate the dissemination of certified content, such as the official bot of the WHO or the Spanish Government. Today we know the new WhatsApp official to confirm the news.
The official bot of The International Fast-Checking Network comes to WhatsApp
The International Fast-Checking Network is Poynter's organization responsible for online news verification. The organization operates in more than 70 countries through a series of media aimed at eradicating hoaxes or fake news spread over the Internet.
The organization introduced its official WhatsApp, a bot that can help us get information verified by private organizations and the opportunity to let us ask questions or links we found in the conversation.
It is important to note that the bot operates in English, although validated news links to Spanish bodies and content in Spanish, a feature of bot development itself.
- Send Hello message at +1 number (727) 2912606, you can do it from the link.
- Wait until you find the bot menu.
- Begin the discussion with your questions. When we press a number from 1 to 6 we will get the following information:
- Enter names or information to confirm. It could be data or a link.
