It was the year 2009-2010. Smartphones as we know them today did not exist. No one thought for a moment that we would have devices with screens larger than 6 inches and 12 GB of RAM and though the Android operating system was known at that time, one kind is ruled over all.
We're talking about BlackBerry, that mobile device company that many sound like something you learn but done for others – like me – is a living history of technology. Their devices, or originally developed for management, recently introduced mundane user through terminals such as BlackBerry 8520, every girl that had it had it. The relatively low price and good looking keyboard for sending thousands of WhatsApp per minute was key to its success. So, why not imitate it?
This was the Samsung 🙂 Smiley, a rare phone that wanted to look like BlackBerry
There were a few calls back then that wanted to emulate BlackBerry fame – not quite as good. One of them was the HTC Chachacha, which is probably the most memorable. But we can't forget the Samsung 🙂 Smiley
The little Samsung 🙂 Smiley or nothing is similar to the models of a current South Korean company like the Global S20, not obviously due to technical features. On the other hand it didn't have Android but unlike BlackBerry, It was a very limited model depending on the installation of services and services.
As we learned years ago at CNET, it was a 2.6-inch T6T-screen tool with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, 50 MB of storage, 1.3 Megapixel camera and 1,000 mAh battery. Nothing for the day but as we mentioned before, it had an added amount of virtual keyboard.
Because let's be honest. Although no one remembers him today, the virtual keyboard was something that was very much desired years ago. It allows people to write messages very quickly, especially in those times when touch screens weren't in fashion. However the Galaxy 🙂 Smiley was not a price broker.
A common feature The all-powerful Samsung Galaxy S will arrive in 2010, an Android phone, with excellent performance and Internet capability and installed apps such as WhatsApp itself, Twitter or Facebook. The Galaxy S and other Android phones started eating the market again devices such as BlackBerry and phone installed as ileySmiley remained as the remaining models.
We don't know if the virtual keyboard will ever be fashionable again and at some point, we doubt it sincerely, but it doesn't bother to remember the past and the past. find especially a few well known phones. In this case Samsung introduced the phone to take advantage of the BlackBerry drop but apparently it didn't go very well. Fortunately he was able to rise from this failure
