I haven't watched TV in years because I usually get my information online and only use my Smart TV with Android TV with a Chromecast with Google TV built in to watch content on streaming platformsfor example from Filmin, Prime Video or Netflix.
I know that I am not alone in this case, but that there are also people who continue to use TNT and its programs: the best example is my parents, who go crazy for the Smart interface of televisions. The problem ? That if you leave a Smart TV with its default settingswhat is normal is that it turns on with the operating system splash screen.
So if you want to watch TNT, you have to touch a few buttons. This standard configuration is not a big problem for me, but it is possible that you do not want it to happen like this on your TV with Android TV, either because of preferences and tastes, or simply as in the case of your parents, because you can't handle it. Don't worry because there is a simple solution: change these settings on your TV so that it always turns on with Freeview.
How to make a TV with Android TV or Google TV always turn on with Freeview
To change this default configuration we will have to enter the parameters and 'Channels and Inputs'>'Shortcut to TV button'. This is where we can choose the entry: the one that interests us is 'Digital television'.
This configuration is interesting for those remote controls with a specific button for watching TV and the result is that when you press this button (normally there is something like 'TV' printed on it), it shows us a TNT channel, specifically the last one we saw.
But we can also turn on our TV with Android TV or Google TV with the last entry we saw. To start again we will have to go to settings and go to 'System' > 'Food and energy' > 'Power-on behavior'.
In this section we will see two options, but the one that interests us is 'Last entry used', which will be the one to disable this operating system home screen in favor of the last thing we saw.
It is what Android TV or Google TV offer for TNT fans: If you watch it frequently, it's likely that when you turn off the TV it will be the last thing you watch and you can go straight to TNT with the second setting, but if someone watched a streaming app, you will always have the TV Button on the left.
