Although it is the week of the new Pixel 9, we must not forget that Google is not the only one preparing something big. Samsung would also be very close, in a few months, to present its new model, the Galaxy S24 FEand now we can see what it will look like.
Samsung has decided to continue betting on FE phones, or “Fan Edition” as they were previously called; in practice, these are mobile phones very similar to the flagship models, but with a much lower price. This will be especially important with the Galaxy S24 FE, since it will be a cheaper entry point to Galaxy AIincluding the features that made the Galaxy S24 such a big seller.
The leak published by Android Headlines confirms that this will be Samsung’s strategy. The leaked promotional images not only show the mobile phone and the colors in which it will be available, but also the slogan “Galaxy AI is here”, that is, “Galaxy AI is here”. It is clear that the S24 FE will support most, if not all, of the features of the Galaxy S24 and that Samsung will use these to attract new customers, or convince existing users to upgrade their mobile phone.
The Galaxy S24 FE would come with One UI 6.1.1 out of the box, which would give you access to new features such as Portrait Studio, which allows you to create images in different styles from your own photo, such as turning yourself into a comic book character. It would also have the functions that other Galaxy already had, such as the environment for searching, automatic translation or the generation of objects in images using AI.
It’s not just software. The images also reveal a design virtually identical to that of the Galaxy S24with the same flat edges and camera array. It may be hard to tell the S24 from the new S24 FE, and Samsung is likely betting on this to lure customers away from Google, whose “cheap” phones are increasingly different from the main lineup. The S24 FE will be available in five colors: graphite, blue, white (or silver), green, and yellow, with possible Samsung Store exclusive versions.
As for the technical details, the Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be based on an Exynos 2400e processor, with greater power efficiency compared to the Exynos 2200 used in the Galaxy S23 FE; this, combined with the 4,565mAh battery, can make the S24 FE one of the Samsung phones that last longer on a single charge. The other technical detail leaked is in the display, with a 6.7-inch panel and a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits that far exceeds, both in size and quality, its predecessor.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE would be presented during the month of October, with a price that, according to rumors, would be similar to the Galaxy S23 FE, launched in Europe for 709 dollars.
