During this weekend there has been movement around the hardware that we could see during the initial presentation of the WWDC22 which begins today at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsula time) in Apple Park. B&H Photo, a major Apple retailer, listed several new Macs like the MacBook Air M2 and a new MacBook Pro, also with M2, on their website. Although that’s not all.
Material tracks, but very weak
While Gurman claims the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 processor will be delayed past WWDC 2022, B&H Photo seems to have other information. Sure it can be a simple error, testing, maintenance or preparing future announcements in a few months, but the coincidence, for the days we meet, attracts attention.
On their website (via 9to5mac), the reseller already has product pages for the Mac mini M2 and a “Mac mini tower”, which could very well refer to the version of the Mac Pro with Apple Silicon. Besides, it also contains the product page of MacBook Air M2 14 inch and MacBook Pro M2 13 inch.
As if all that weren’t enough, the current Mac Pro has been shown as abandoned, which would mean that the renewal is imminent. And we say “would” because we are before information to be taken with great, great caution. There could be a fair amount of explanation for the preparation of these sections, although none as interesting as the material we will see this afternoon, although somewhat unlikely material.
In the past, we have already seen leaks to department stores or distributors they gave us clues about exit plans from Apple. The truth is, WWDC is a software-focused event, but it’s early to rule anything out. In a few hours we will leave doubts.
