With the arrival of the new iPhone SE 5G, Apple could keep the current iPhone SE model with a breakthrough price that could be around $200in direct competition with more affordable Android phones.
We are a few days away from Apple presenting its new iPhone SE. The company’s cheapest phone will come with revamped internal specs and an identical design to the current one, and is expected to include 5G connectivity. The price of the terminal could also be reduced compared to the current model, which is not very common at Apple but could make sense in the current market. An iPhone with an “old” design but with much more modern internal specs and 5G connectivity for $300
But the one that could benefit greatly would be the current model, which many analysts believe could continue to be sold in the Apple Store with the obvious price reduction. If the new terminal with 5G starts at $300, would it be unreasonable to think of an older OS for $200? For nothing. And many buyers would appreciate it, because although it is not the latest model, its specifications are still very attractive
Apple is already well into the mid-range of smartphones and it’s not bad at all. With the arrival of the new SE, it could enter this market even further by offering two models at really attractive prices. In Europe, it has already managed to increase its sales by 11% in 2021, a not easy year as evidenced by the falls of its competitors. This move could end up launching the Apple brand into the global smartphone market, not just at the high end.
