After the meeting between Tim Cook and Elon Musk, everything was clarified: Twitter remains in the App Store.
In recent weeks we have experienced a small war between Elon Musk and AppleWell it was really a one-sided attack since Apple never spoke. Either way, it earned Elon Musk a trip to Apple Park and a personal interview with Apple CEO Tim Cook.
And in this conversation, Tim wanted to make it clear to Elon that At no time did Apple consider kicking Twitter out of the App Store.. It is a rumor that has appeared in recent days, even propagated by Elon Musk himself, but which did not come from official sources of the apple-bitten company.
Elon Musk confirms: Twitter is not in danger in the App Store
After uploading a video of Apple Park in which we could see the silhouettes of the two CEOs, Tim Cook and Elon Musk, the latter updated the situation with a second Tweeter with more information which they talked about.
Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding regarding the possible removal of Twitter from the App Store. It was clear to Tim that Apple had never considered doing this.

The reason for this visit was make it clear that Apple never wanted to ban Twitter, despite Musk’s latest measures. that he assured that he planned significantly reduce the amount of content moderation on Twitterafter reinstating the accounts of controversial figures, such as former President Donald Trump.
Occasionally Apple cracked down on social media apps that didn’t apply proper moderationHowever, Musk should have promised Cook an acceptable degree of restraint. Things like hate speech will continue to be monitored.
Musk also showed outrage at the 30% commission the App Store is taking in in-app purchases, which is of particular interest to Musk and his Twitter Blue subscription service. However, it does not appear that they have come to any conclusion on this.
The ace Musk’s decisions since taking to Twitter have not been without controversy. Problems with account verifications that lead to a new idea like color verifications, the elimination of the classic “Twitter for iPhone” or “Twitter for Android” and even threatened to charge all users, in addition to the decision that gives Twitter “absolute freedom of expression”. At least you won’t have to launch your own smartphone, Twitter remains in the App Store.
